BLUNHAM VILLAGE HALL
Wed: 9.15a.m. to 11.15 a.m.
Thurs: 9.15a.m. to 11.15 a.m.
TeddyBears Playgroup is situated in the Village Hall, High Street Blunham. A picturesque village, less than a mile from the A1 and 2 miles north of Sandy . Entrance is via the side door where we operate a secure entry system.
We are a committee run playgroup supported by two enthusiastic staff members, and we have been established for over 25 years.
Our aim is to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for your child where they can continue their personal and social development secure in the knowledge their parent or carer is nearby. They are encouraged to be ‘kind’ to each other and ‘gentle’ with the younger babies and learn to take turns and share where there is only one piece of equipment. These are all actions that help set the seeds for the ‘foundation stage of learning’ and will stand them in good stead as they prepare for school.
We have some structured times such as ‘break time’ where the children sit around tables and are offered a piece of fruit and a drink. If it is a child’s birthday then often their parents bring a cake and we all sing happy birthday and have a piece of cake. Additionally we encourage everyone to join in our song time, playing musical instruments or listening to a story.
What we offer:
Although Sarah and Margaret run the playgroup, it is our committee which is responsible for the future of the group. Committee members meet throughout the year to review finances, organise fund-raising activities and children's events such as the annual funday and Christmas parties etc. Parents can help by supporting the playgroup's fund raising activities and putting across their own views on organisation to committee members or at the Annual General Meeting.
We hope to see you soon! If you have any queries or require further information please do not hesitate to contact Jo Ziccardi on tel. 01767 640756,
