We were delighted to receive confirmation that the proposed site for Gypsies and Travellers in Blunham has been withdrawn by the landowner. The District Council, however, is still looking for suitable sites, and we believe it is important that the Council is informed that Blunham does not have the facilities that are required. Lots of letters from Blunham residents are the best way of ensuring the message gets across loud and clear, before any alternative proposals are put forward.

So, if you have not yet completed the consultation document, or sent a letter to make your views known, please do so before the cut off date of 30 April.

Finally, you may be interested to know that the Blunham Heritage Committee will not be disbanded and will continue to represent Blunham residents over any other developments that are likely to affect a significant proportion of our community.
