Post Hole Borers were used only by fencing contractors and farmers because of their high cost, and it was not practical to use them on small jobs. Our post hole borers will bore neat socket-like holes 900mm. deep with remarkable ease for posts up to 150mm. diameter, and will work almost any kind of soil including clay. The surrounding soil is not disturbed, so making an extremely firm job. The post hole borer is also an excellent tool for planting shrubs and rose trees, also for making drainage holes on boggy land. Operation is simple, the post hole borer is placed in position, the T- handle turned several times and then withdrawn, this allows the soil to fall from the blades, repeat this until the required depth is reached. Water may be added where soil is dry or hard. The sliding handle can be moved to and fro when working in confined spaces.
