Shows the type 80 on the right with the TPS34 radome on the left. It shows that most of the Buchan site was rutted and pock-marked with big muddy puddles. At times it was a bit like a WW1 battlefield. It contrasted with the neatly-ploughed farmers fields that surrounded it. I always found it strange that it was left in that condition, the big ruts and gorse bushes made it easy for intruders to sneak up close to the Radar heads on exercise.
