The place:
A parish in the wapentake of Hang West, Liberty of Richmondshire; 2 miles
from Middleham, 3 from Leyburn, 45 from York. Population, including
Agglethorpe 131. The Church is a perpetual curacy, dedicated to the Holy
Trinity, in the deanery of Catterick, diocese of Chester.
