A parish in the wapentake of Gilling East; 4 miles from Thirsk, 7 from
Northallerton, 12 from Boroughbridge, 10 from Ripon, 27 from York.
Population 197. The Church is a rectory, dedicated to St. John the Baptist, in
the deanery of Richmond, diocese of Chester.
