The second list of Benefactions in St. Nicholas's Church, Stillington.


JOHN CALVERT, of Stillington Yeoman, by his Will dated August 17th 1836, gave and bequeathed to the Minister and Church-wardens of the Parish of Stillington, for the time being, the sum of One Hundred Pounds, which the said Testator directed to be placed out at Interest, on Government or Real Security; And the Interest and Dividends arising therefrom, to be paid by the Minister and Church- wardens, for the time being, to and amongst such poor Widows, residing in the Parish of Stillington, as are of orderly conduct, and who shall if able, attend Divine Service at Church or Chapel regularly every Sabbath Day. And the said Testator further directed that such Interest or Dividends should be paid and divided annually, on the first Sunday after the day of the Month of his Burial for ever.

The said Testator was buried, October, 28th, 1838.
