"TOFT, a parish in the hundred of LONGSTOW,
county of CAMBRIDGE, 5 miles (E. by S.) from Caxton,
containing. 259 inhabitants. The living is a rectory
with the vicarage of Caldecote annexed, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Ely, rated in the king's hooks
at'£6, 16. 10, and in the patronage of the Master and
Fellows of Christ College, Cambridge. The church is
dedicated to St. Andrew."
