"SAWTRY ALL SAINTS, the parish of Sawtry All Saints is now part of Sawtry Town (see
link above). It originally appears to have had but little woodland, although Stalling
Wood is mentioned in 1278. The parish was inclosed by Act of Parliament in 1804."
