The Independent Chapel, Hull
2. DAGGER LANE. Old Dagger Lane Chapel. Built by Independents in 1698. Became Swedenborgian in 1783 when it was altered. Became Presbyterian in 1841. Replaced by Spring Bank in 1875. Used as a synagogue for a time. Acquired by Minerva Lodge of Freemasons who had been using adjoining schoolroom in Prince Street since 1809. Now part of Masonic Hall. Outside walls rebuilt 1978.
