7. FISH STREET. Congregational chapel built in 1782, at cost of £1575, to replace Blanket Row. Enlarged in 1802 to contain 1,050 sittings. Restored and modernised, internally and externally in 1869. Replaced by Prince's Avenue in 1898. Chapel sold and later became a telephone exchange and then a warehouse. Demolished 1984. Site covered by housing to east of Fish Street.
