9. HUMBER STREET. Wesley Chapel. Built by Wesleyan Methodists in 1832-3. Designed by William Sissons of Hull and built at a cost of £3,600. It could seat 1300. Remodelled in 1887 and became Wesley Hall. Closed 1905 and it became a fruit auction room. Destroyed during Second World War. A fruit warehouse, nos. 66-8 Humber Street, is now on the site.
