104. FOUNTAIN ROAD. Zion Primitive Methodist chapel. Built in 1877 at cost of £6,417. Designed by Joseph Wright in Italian Romanesque style. Seating for 800. Institute block added alongside 1909. It had extensive school rooms behind. Damaged by bombing in 1941, closed 1959 and demolished c.1960. Housing on site. [The Lost Churches and Chapels of Hull]
