St. Bartholomew's Church, Hull

St. Bartholomew's Church, Hull
141. HEDON ROAD. St. Bartholomew's Anglican church. This church, originally built as a sacristy for Drypool cemetery on Hedon Road, was licensed for services in 1877 with the dedication of St. Nathaniel. In 1885 the dedication was changed to St. Bartholomew on the insistence of the then Archbishop of York. The former sacristy was replaced by an iron church opened December 1891. This was demolished c.1941. The churchyard and cemetery were made into gardens by the corporation in 1959-60. They are now grassed over. [The Lost Churches and Chapels of Hull]
