16. ALFRED GELDER STREET. Queen's Hall, Wesleyan. Replaced George Yard Chapel in 1905. Designed by Sir Alfred Gelder in a Free Gothic style it could seat 2,000. It cost £20,000. Opened September 1905, closed 1960 and demolished June 1965. [The Lost Churches and Chapels of Hull]
