35. GEORGE STREET. Baptist chapel built 1796 at cost of £1,200. Seated 600. Altered 1842 when brickwork at front was stuccoed. Interior altered in 1854 and 1860. Last service held November 1903. Building became Prince's Hall Cinema in 1910. Later a club which was demolished 1985. At present (Oct. 1991) a redevelopment site at 38 George Street. [The Lost Churches and Chapels of Hull]
