Will of John Watterworth, of Beeston, parish of Leeds, clothier [Reg. Test. 21, Fol. 347], dated 26
March 1579; proved 7 May 1579. Debts &c., to be paid. Residue of goods, three parts: One to
Isabel, my wife; one to my seven children; the third to bring me forth. Daughter Anne, 6s. 8d.;
daughter Isabel, 10s.; youngest son, Robert, 10s. Isabel, my wife, my lease and interest of two
closes called the Little Well Royd and Hellie Close, during widowhood or life. Remainder to eldest
son, John W., he giving aid to his brother and sisters as much as in him lies. Wife and son John,
executors. Witnesses: - John Burneley, William Couke, and Rauf Dickson, with others.
